• r TROUBLE ONCE MORE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Wanganui, March 16. For many years the, Railwaj' Department has worked the. local wharves, charging the Harbour Board at the rate of sevenpence per ton. Tho Government recently granted an increase in tho wages to wharf hands, and asked tho Harbour Board to pay an extra twopenco per ton. to recompense tho Department. Tho Harbour Board entered a protest, and, as a sequel to correspondence extending over several months, tho board to. night decided to take over tho working of tho wharves it tho Department persists in its refusal to carry out its original agreement.
