TO REHABILITATE A CAPTAIN.

THE ELINGAMITE CASE. Following tho campaign set afoot at Wellington (says the Auckland "Herald") to secure a rehearing of tho case of Captain Atwood, who was held responsible for the loss of the Elingamite at tho Three Kings some nine years ago, there is now a similar move amongst Auckland shipmasters. A meeting of coastal masters will be hold next week to pass a resolution to strengthen tho hands of the Masters' Service Guild, which is already moving • in the direction.
