PROTEST FROM ARCHITECTS. A special njeeting of tho Council' of tho New Zealand Institute of Architects was held yesterday afternoon to consider certain points in connection with tho competitive designs which have been invited by tho Government for tho new Parliament Buildings. As the result of the discussion, the following resolution was adopted:— "That this, council send a strong protest to the Government with regard to the conditions governing the proposed competition for the designs for the new Parliament Buildings, being felt that the conditions fall far short of what is considered to bo required to ensure a fair competition." The. above resolution is to be forwarded to the Minister for Public Works (the Hon. R. M'Kenzie).
