MANURE TRADE STRIKE.
MEN ASK FOE HIGHER PAT. (Ey Telegraph—Press Association Copyrielit) (Rec. March 16, 0.55 a.m.) Melbourne, March 15. A strike has. occurred in the artificial manure trade, and seven hundred men are out. Three firms, Messrs. Coumming. Smith, and Co., Wtecher and Co., and the Mount Lyell Company are affected. The men demand a shilling an hour, their present wages running from 6s. to 7s. a day.
