FESTIVAL OF EMPIRE.
-'•EEVISED AUSTRALASIAN TEAM. L ''Mr. A! Marryatt',' president of the' New .Zealand Festival of Empire : Committee, states' that the name, of M. -E. Cham- ' pion. was omitted from the Australasian . teim' which is to compete at the' Festival -of' Empire sports. The revised list should, therefore .read as. follows:— ' ; Swimming—M. E. Champion (New Zea- ■ land). ' • Swimming and Boxing—Hardwick'(New 'South- Wales).' ; .Wrestling-Smyth (New South Wales), ■ Cycling—Schneider (New South Wales). '■' Bunning—Whoatloy (VictoVia), Haskins and Woodgec (New Zealand). 'Hurdles—Brown (Victoria). 'Tennis—Wilding (New Zealand), ..' Mr/ Marryatt adds that there is a 6trong possibility that Opie will be included in the team to figure in the running events (100 yards and 220 yards), as .the-''New Zealand Committee are using their best endeavour'to bring this about. The inclusion of a cycling man in the team has puzzled Dominion officials, as " it was understood that--the team- was . not "to contain cycling competitors'. '.'
