In the House of Commons, Mr. Winston Churchill, Home Secretary, in reply to a question regarding the scenes caused by suffragettes on November 18 last, in tho precincts of the Houses of Parliament, said the police 'had on that occasion acted with their customary forbearance and humanity. He repudiated what he- called "the allegations emanating from that copious fountain of mendacity —the Women's Social and Political Union."
