EVANCELISTIG CAMPAICN. JIKETING OF THK AUSTKALIAK COIJNCIL. Tlio first meeting of the recnntlyconstitutcd "Australasian Council of the Chanmaii - Alexander Campaign, 1911?," toolc place at Melbourne recently when thcro were present Rev. F. Binns, Mr. G. E. Ardill, and Rev. 11. J. H. M'Gowau, from Sydney; licv. A. J. Griffith and Mr. \V. F. Finlaysou, M.H.R., of Brisbane; Rev. F. Lade, of Holiart; Ml'. James Delohanty, ot Adelaide, and Rev. Alexander Stewart, Rev. D. M. Deasey, Mr. James Balfour. M'L.C'., Messrs. G. I'. Barber, Charles F. Crosliv, T. Grogan, Rev. H. H. Jeffs, and Mr. "\Y. Gordon Spring, representing Victoria. The constitution of the council was adopted, governing the arrangements and control of the forthcoming mission throughout the Commonwealth and New Zealand, which ivill commenco in March of next year, and cover a period of twelve months. Many important matters of general policy were discussed, including the financial arrangements tor the campaign. The outlook for a comprehensive and successful mission is of tho brightest character, and tho council has resolved to organise on an extensive scale. The following officers of tho council were clected: —President, Rev. Alexander Stewart; tho president of each State committee to bo vice-president of tho council; treasurer, Mr. James Balfour, M.L.C.; secretary to the council, Mr. W. Gordon Sprigg, with Mr. Gcorgo ii. Ardill as co-secretary to the Sydney executive. Several interesting communications were read from Dr. Chapman and Mr. Alexander during tho meeting.
