A large gathering farcwelled tho Springboks, who were enthusiastic over their treatment during the tour, aud the sportsmanlike qualities of the Australians. Sherwell, in a tribute to tho Australian cricketers, said thcro wcro no two ways about it, in every department of tlie game, the Australians wcro superior. In batting they were head and shoulders above the Africans. Australia was tho greatest batting side in tho world, and'tho bowling, which the Africans had thought their strength, was not good enough.
