PRINTING THE ROLLS.
TOO HEAVY A TASK. The printing of the electoral rolls in tho districts for which they aro compiled—a course which Cabinet decided upou recently—is practically a necessity, it would havo been almost impossible for the Government Printing Office to have done tho work this year owing to tho circumstances under which it would have to bo produced. As a matter of fact it will bo September before the Representation Commission has completed its work and objections have been heard, and it may be calculated that the printing of tho rolls cannot bo proceeded with until well oil in October. Parliament will then bo sitting ancf the task imposed upon tho printing office with this work would rentier it almost impossible to turn out tho rolls for the whole Dominion in timo for the general election in November.
