CHEESE AND RECIPROCITY.
HAS OUR MARKET IMPROVED? The remark in the .High Commissioner's cable (published yesterday)'fhnt the agreement between Canada and Ahierica had favourably affected the cheese market in London lias moused tome curiosity and interest in Wellington. Speaking (o a Dominion representative yesterday, one who is in constant touch with the dairy produce exporting busiiie?s, said that the cabled item seemed to him to be rather
hard to understand. The only explanation ho could oiler was that in view of a possibility of the agreement being ratified, and thu markets of (lie State's thus thrown open to the Canadian cheese producers, the Canadians were lidding stocks. Their supplies to tTio British market might, therefore, bo less than usual, and those who were supplying the market -would on that account benefit to some extent.
