SEVERE STORM FLOODS CITY. liy Telczraph-Prra A«sni'istl..n-Cai)yrißlil-(Rec. March 8, 0.15 a.m.) Melbourne, March 7. A remarkably heavy storm occurred this afternoon. Blinding rain fell and tho streets were submerged, while the railways in many places were covered. The trains wore ploughing through the floods, the vehicles being axle-deep in water. In many streets tho water was over the footpaths. The races and all out-door .events were postponed. Considerable damage has been doue.
