SULTAN'S FORCES DEFEATED. By Tolesraph— Prosa Aseoclntion—Conyrliht (Rec. March 7, 10.50 p.m.) Tangier, March 7. The tribes between Kasr-el-Kebir and Fez are in a state of rebellion and communication with Fez has been cut off. Tho Sultan sent out detachments of troops against the rebels. Two of tho detachments were badly cut up, and lost their artillery, many men being killed and wounded.

The rebels propose to proclaim Abdui Aziz as Sultan again.

Abdnl Aziz was Sultan until August, 1907, when his forces were defeated by those of his brother, Mulai Hand, who succeeded him.
