1 _ (By Telegraph.—Press Association.! Wanganui, March G. At. the meeting of the Licensing Committee to-day J. W. Bines, licensee of the Albion Hotel, was asked to show cause why his license should not be cancelled. Tho police alleged that tho houso was not kept in a clean condition, and that tho licensee had allowed drunken men to be found on tho premises. The committee, adjourned tho caso for a month lo allow the licensee to transfer his lease.
