Masse as Minister for Commerce. All tho portfolios savo those of Justice, Agriculture, and Public Works have now been filled, and tho composition of tho Cabinet is now as follows, the ages and occupations of tho different Ministers b'eing shown:— ■ Primo Minister and Minister for tho Interior.—M. Antonio Monis, 65, vinegrower. Foreign Affairs. —M. Jean Cruppi, 65, lawyer; War.—General Henry Berteaus, 69. Marine.—M. Theophilo Delcasse, 69, journalist. Financc. —M. Joseph Caillanx, 58, professor of economics. Public Instruction.—M. Jules Steeg, 43, university professor. Commerce.—M. Louis Masse, 41, lawyer. Colonies.—M. Adolphe Messimy, 42, retired army officer. Labour and Hygiene.—M. Boncour. Post and Telegraphs.—M. Charles Chaumct, 55, publicist. M. Jean Cruppi, who now succeeds the cautious and conciliatory 11. Pichon at tho French Foreign Office, is a lawyer of note. Ho played a ccrtain part in the latter stages of tbo Dreyfus affair, and has actively promoted tile law on the devolution of Church property. He joined tho Clemenecau Cabinet in I'JOS, as Minister for> Justice. M. Cruppi is CG years of !)gO. Of the now Ministers, M. Delcasse and M. Caillanx are easily tho most distinguished, M. Delcassc's brilliant career at thu French Foreign Office has been previously outlined. Jr. Caillanx was Minister for Finance in the Clemenceau Cabinet, and was the author of tho scientific Income Tax Bill of that year. He had previously hold tho Finance portfolio in tho Waldeclc-Kousseau Cabinet. General Bcrteaux is a Radical Socialist, and was Minister for War from November, 1904, to November, 1305. Ho was afterwards Vicc-Presidcnt of the Chamber of Deputies.
