A letter was read at the. meeting of tlio Board of .Governors of..the Christ-, church ; Technical College / from tlio parent of a student, objecting to Bible 'reading and tlio saying of ..the Lord's .Prayer:'prior to the classes- starting. He protested tliat this was illegal, and stated that his' object in writing was to prevent' anything taking placo which would interfere with the- secular eduea--tion of the children. ■ He. had received a letter from a. committed-of'tho board to tile effcct-that ho' pupil was, or had been, ""'required to'attend •'prayer and Bible reading, and that y tlio practice had tlio approval of the committee. Mr. Rushbfidge, one of tho members of tho board, mado a strong protest against the practice, but a motion lie moved rev questing tho director to discontinue tho practico was unseconded.
