Ecports from Ecno, Nevada, state that cijfht Indians and one whito mail werekilled in a fierce battle at Tuscarora, when tho pursuing sheriff's posse overtook twelve, Shoshono Indians wanted for tho murder of four wealthy Nevada stockmen. The Indians fought with bows and arrows for three hours, and when only four of tho band were left they surrendered. Tho stockmen's bodies were found horribly mutilated, and there is every evidence that the murderers were Indians. Several- squaws wero killed fighting side by side with ( the braves.
