Jlr. 11. C. Dreaver, of Duncdin, who; has been in England for same months, leaves London this week for the Continent, en route for New Zealand. Ho goes first to Paris oil business, and then takes a month's holiday in Switzerland and Italy ' before joining tho steamer nt Naples. ' ' Sir William Hall-Jones has .consented to become ono of tho patrons of a great allBritish shopping week for London in tho Coronation season. Tho scheme is being arranged by tho' Uiiiou Jack Industries League, and it is. interesting-to-nnto .that; tiie.Roval Family has ordered- that ;lho 'whole of "tho-fabrics' to be used ' liy-the' King and 'Ouecn' and other members. 6f : the-Roval'Family at tho. Harrison, B.A.', M.Se., late of Canterbury College, (fame over from the Continent for his Christmas vacation,; after studying for fifteen months at Zurich Polytcchnikum and "tho Academy pf Frankfort-oii-tho.-Jlain. In September, on •concluding his work at the latter place, Jlr. Ilarrisori. attached himself to tho University of Munich,- in Bavaria, and' has been working there under tho direction of Professor Balyer, in chemistry, and Professor Rostgen, in physics. • In the courso of a month or two Jlr. Harrison intends to settle in England for a time beforo returning to live.in New Zen-; land.
An interesting New Zeala'nd-Gorman wedding took place at Sheffield, 'a io'rt-: night ago, when - Captain William .Si Gardner, formerly' of Aukauto're,'.^as. married to Frieda: Ilildegardo Kuehnrich, only'daughter of-the. late Jlr. Robert Ktichnricli, of, Lcipsig. The vicar of Ranmoor, tho' Rev. J". G. Williams, performed tho service. Tho bride, who wore a gown of ivory crepe do chine, trimmed with Valonciennes and Irish lace over white satin, arid a train of lace, was given away by her brother, Mr., P. R. Kuehnrich. Her only-jewel was a diamond brooch, tho gift of the bridegroom. Four bridesmaids (the Jlisses Jlargot, Elsa, Gertrude, and Flora Kuehnrich, nieces of tho bride) wore crepe do chino, dresses in opalescent shades, with wreaths Of roses on their heads, and carried large bouquets of roses. Tho gifts from tho bridegroom were long gold chains and pendants. Jlr. Victor Tlach, tho Consul for Austria, acted as best man. Tho honeymoon is being spent on the Continent. .
