Fawkes,.Command-er-in-Chief at Plymouth! Vice-Admiral Sir G. Egerton, commanding at, th 6 Cape, succeeds Vice-Admiral Sir Ft C. Bridgerrtan-Bridgeman as a Lord of the Admjralty. , Vice-Admiral Sir W. H. May was born m 1847 and entered the Navy in 1663.' He attained flag rank in 1901 when he was appointed Director of Naval Ordnance ana - Torpedoes. Since then he has been successively a Lord of ; the Admiraltv and Controller of the Navy, Commander-in-Chief of tho Atlantic lleet, Second Sea Lord of the Admiralty, and Commander-in-Chief of the Homo fl.eot. . Vice-Admiral Sir George Egerton was appointed Commander-in-Chief at tho Cape of Good Hope in 1908. He was born in 1852.
