CORONATION CONTINGENT
STATEMENT OF CONDITIONS. : ' An official announcement on the subject of the proposed "voluntary" contingent to represent the New Zealand Military Forces at tho King's Coronation in June next has been made. The Government has decided to permit the organisation of such a contingent, under the following conditions. — (1) Each inembcT to find his own passago by any route to and from England. (2) Supply his own uniform. (3) To .report to tho High Commissioner, London," during the first week in June, at the latest—earlier if possible.
(4) No pay will be granted. : . (5) Members.to be under military;law while acting as a contingent. :; ~-,•. (6) Applications- must be made through O.C. districts who will, report on same and forward to headquarters; a' letter of rEconimendatioii to the High Commissioner will then be forwarded. A'copy will also be sent to applicants. (7) Twenty pounds (£2o)'trill'be granted as an allowance for uniform and equipment, payable in London by the High' Commissioner. No other charge against the Government is to be incurred. This allowance is, however) limited to sixty members. Onlv fifteen can be recommended from the Wellington district. ',',•: -, (8) Armlications, which will be dealt with according to nriority of receipt, must be forwarded to -District Headquarters,. Government Buildings, Wellington, .at once.
