WATER POLO.
The second round of the senior grado water polo fixtures was begun at tho To' Aro Baths on Saturday afternoon and a beginning was also mado with tho 11 grade competition. Swifts A defeated Wellington A by 5 goals to 1. In the first half Swifts recorded threo goals and Wellinston two. Each sido put in two goals in the second term. liirss (3) nnd Morpeth (I) scored for Wellington, nnd Frcvberg and 11. Jenkinson 2 each, nnd Wilinot for Swifts. The Wellington 11 and Swifts li heat resulted in a win for Swifts by 4 to 3. At the end of tho first spell Wellington wero leading by 3 to 0. all Iho scoring having been done by J. A. M'Lean. Swifts were in scoring mood in the final half, Wilton (2), Grey, and M'Grnth registering goals. The contest between Thorndon B nnd Wellington C ended in a win for Wellington by ono goal -to nil. Thero was no scoro in the first snell, but in the second term Tittle put the winning goal through for Wellington. Mr. Geo. Sadd was referee in nil threo contests.
