RESULTS OF SATURDAY'S PLAY, Fhacant weather was again experienced by the bowling fraternity on 'Scirurda.v afternoon. There is only one fly in tho ointment nt present, nnd that is the extremely dry state of the greens and the consequent ultra-keenness which obtains, despitu tho liberal waterings given them ovory evening. This, however, is a small complaint at its worst, for most of the greens aro playing magnificently, and tho heart of the really experienced bowler continues to rejoice. It is good to sco that tho parent olub is able to put in enough teams to mcctullthe other clubs in.lho city and suburbs, and still more remarkable to beat them as is invariably tho case. The Hutt bowlers who went to Wanganui to play lor. tho Duthio- trophy spent all day on Saturday on tho FeilOing green. Threo rinks—Evens, James, Cudby, Trevethick (s.), Simpson, ltishworth, l'nlmcr, Seymour (s.), and T. R. Jones. Nicholas, Holland, Hendry (s.) —played 21 heads in the morning, the aggregates of tho games being:—llutt, 55; i'eilding, 02. Two rinks, skipped by Trevethick and Hendry, played 25 heads in 'tho afternoon, tho aggregato being:—Hutt 27, Feilding 77. The visitors wero hospitably entertained nnd were -warm in their praise of the Feilding green. "The best we havo ployed on" was the verdict. On Monday tho Hutt. representatives play at Shannon, and on Tuesday nt Otaki.
