• I lie annual general meeting of tho Wellington Arts Club was held.on Tuesday evening and was attended by a. large number of members. Lee, aud Mesdames .M'Villy and Montague. Mr. Whitta Thornton was appointed auditor. The president - commented upon tho success of the club and outlined tho programmo for the future. Killick for tho Eood work done by them, andMesdames M'Villy and Montague were appointed a committed • to organise an evening's entertainment in their honour. On the motion of tho Rev. Mr. Kyall a rccom-. mendfttiou was niado to the incoming council to set up a permanent entertainment committeo, so as to maintain tho' high standard of entertainments held last year.
