At the matinee wero many inmates of tho Homo fov tho Aged Needy nnd tho Oliiro Home, who thoroughly 011ioyed tho attractive performance of this excellent company. The company will conclude its season in Wellington and its. tour of Now /ealiuid this evening, when Rolwrt Gnnthony's fantastical and thoroughly cutertuining comedy, "A Message from Mars, will bo produced, with Mr. Harry Plimmer as tho selfish cad, Hornco Parker, Mr. Reynolds Deuiiiston as tho grim Messenger, and Miss Llxette Parkcs as Mmhie. Many had to bo refused admission when the comedy was playcd^n , Monday evening, so that a largo audienco and a hearty farewell aro ■pretty well assured the company this evening.
•THEATRE-ROYAL. Applauso was freouent at the Theatre Royal last evening ns tho capital vaudeville programmo submitted ran its course. Tho entertainment was enjoyable in every particular. Fred Graham and Nellie Dent provoked much laughter (it tho comicalities of their amusing sketch, VTlio Power of tho Idol." Tho performance of Herr Theodore, who was ably nssisted by his laughter-moving clown, was nnothor popular item. Farrell and Gatfney, although they, boast only three legs between them, aro an entertaining pair of dancers, and the cordiality'with which thoy nro on all occasions received by the public shows no signs of wavering. Jack Knowles is a burnt-cork comedian, of ability, and to hear him is -to. laugh. Scott-Gibson, Victor MyoreMho Anderson Trio, Clias. Heath, Miss-Ruby'Watson, and Miss Cecile Stephens were each successful in .their several contributions, to tho programme, which will bo repeated this "evening. ■
