RELIGIOUS FREEDOM PROMISED. Uj Tolesraph-rrcss Assoclction-Conyrlnht Lisbon, February 13. Sonhor Bernardino Machado, Minister for Foreign Affairs, in an interview, protnised freedom to all religions, permission to establish schools where various creeds are taught, and that a building belonging to foreigners which was rcceutly seized shall bo restored to tho owners or an indemnity paid to them. SENHOR FRANCO TO DE RETIRED. < Lisbon, February 13. The Supremo Court has decided that tho usual courts are competent to judge peers and cabinet ministers; hence, Senhor Franco, cx-l'rcmier and Dictator during tho period before tho assassination of Kins Carlos, will be retried.
