Tugs have been dispatched to the assistance- of tho steamer New Guinea, which ran ashoro in a fog at Green Cape. The steamer is practically full of water, and tho chances of salving her are very remote. Sho is expected to break up if the sea gets up. At present it is fairly calm. Tho captain, chief engineer, and second officer aro standing by. Tho remainder of the crow left last night for Eden, and until their arrival there, details of tho disaster will not bo available. The steamer lies half a; milo from the lighthouse, near where tho disastrous Ly-ee-Moon wreck occurred, with tho loss of 76 lives, in 1880. (Rcc. February 13, 9.30 p.m.) ; .
