DANNEVIBKE HAM FAIE. Messrs. Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., report on their sales at tho annual Dannevirko ram fair, held on tho show grounds on Thursday:— Wo submitted -our full complement or rams to a representative attendance of buyers, and were fortunate In disposing of tho majority of lines under tho hammer or privately. With tho exception of a few Border Lcicostcrs, our entry wholly comprised Lincolns and Eomncys, and in tho former we topped tho market with both studs and flocks, and in Bomncys with flocks. Taken altogether, our offerings wero a superior lot, rams coming from Mastorton particularly, attracting attention. Competition was spirited for all Bood Lincolns and Eomneys, and breeders expressed themselves as well satisfied with the prices realised. Tho following were our principal sales:—

Messrs. Daleety and Company, Limited. Palmorston North, report having held their usual fortnightly sale' at Taihape on Wednesday, February 8. A very good yarding of sheep and a, fair entry of cattle came to hand, and all lots were quitted with the oxecption of one small pen of lambs. Quotations: Cull lambs, 4s. to ss. 5d.; small lambs, 6s. to 6s. '6d.j medium lambs, to 75.; fair lambs, to 7s. Messrs.' DaJgcty and Co., Ltd., report having held a 6ale in their Alfrcdton yards on Thursday, February 9. There was- a Rood entry of sheep and everything was sold nt prices in favour of vendors,- with the exception of one pen of lambs. Abraham and Williams, Limited, roport on their To Wharau sale, held on Thursday, February 9, as follows:-The sale was held at Lani'a End in Mr. Donald Douglas's yards, and was well attended by settlers from a distance. Two and fourtooth wethers, good, 12s. •• 4d.; two-tooth wethers, 40s. to 10s. 9d.; woolly wether lambs (good),. 9s. 5d.; others, 6s. 3d.:'shorn wether lambs in good condition, Es. 3d.; mixed-ago cwee, 10s. 3d.; f.m. ewes, 6b.; crooks, down to 3s. The attendance of the public was fair, but buyers, from a' distance wero not prominent. Business at auction dragged, but' ou the whole a satisfactory sale must bo reported. Two-tooth ewes (email), 10s.. 3d. and up to 12s. 7d. for a good Lincoln lot; need ewes, 9s. to 12s. 6d., according to condition; shorn lambs, 4s. Bd. At Okau on February 3 I held a sheep and cattle fair. There was a good yarding of both sheep and cattle.' There was a good demand for cattle, and most lines offered wero sold at the hammer or afterwards. Tho majority of the sheep were on tho aged side, but anything young was well competed for.
