Wanganui, February 9. • • since tho Aramoho ratepayers accepted tho Borough Council's loan proposals for public works in that: suburb, the discontented minority appear to have fallen into lino with those .who- are anxious'to see the suburb progress, and last night several of them attended a meeting of ratepayers and heartily supported tho proposal for the extension of the tramways to Xsorth. Aramoho. A committed was appointed to wait cu the council and to collect data to assist that body in drawing up a scheme for tho proposed extension.' .This morning the Hon. Thomas Mackenzie and Mr. James Dunlop, Scottish Agricultural Commissioner, arrived 'in Wanganm from Feilding, and were met at-, tho-railway, station by Mr. Hogan, M.P., and the president and 'executive and members of tho Chamber of Commerce. The vis'tors were taken by motorcar to Castlecliff, whero they wero shown over the .freezing works and new cooling chambers, then, via Tayforth, to West- ■???,?' S!i d !f, 0 J nc , 1) y VB ? of St. John's Hill. Iho Chamber' of Commerco entertained the party at luncheon at tho Rutland Hotel, after which they left for tho north.by express. They expressed their pleasure at the entertaining two honra spent in Wanganui, and regretted having so little time to remain in this town.
