There was quite a. wireless seance in the head office laboratory of the Post and Telegraph Department in Nathan's Building ;on Wednesday night..'- Among • those present were the Prime Minister, General Godley, Captain Spencer-Smith, Mr. D. Robertson (Secretary to the Post Office), Mr. Buckley (chief electrician), and a few of the smartest telegraph operators from the local office. Communication was established with the. Hiiddart-Parker steamer Ulinmroa, then en route from Port Chalmers to Lyttelton, and an animated conversation; was maintained.for some time, the reading and sending being quite clear at both ends: Captain Spen-cer-Smith,; who undertands .telegraphy, took a very great interest in the work, and himself sent several'messages. •'
