A HARBOUR MYSTERY.
QUESTION. OF IDENTIFICATION,
The.body of.an.unknown man was found in the harbour yesterday morning, by Constables li'Kelvie and/Doyle. The body,-which is that of'an'old man 58 or CO years of age, ,was discovered. in the docki- under the staging,'at the outer wall. The body, when removed.to tho morgue, did not appear to have been in the water for many hours. >' It is that of a man of slight build, about sft. 7in. in height, with grey hair and an iron groy moustache.. There wero only'two teeth in the upper jaw and six in the lower jaw, butnothing was found on the body to indicate who the man was'or what occupation ho followed. An overcoat was found ou the shore not far from whero tho.body was picked up. -Decaesed was'clothed in a dark'tweed coat and trousers, heavy black underclothing, and long brorfn woollen stockings.. The.only mark on deceased's face is an old scar on the forehead. The body had not been identified up to a late hour last; night. An inquest-will be held to-day. ;..
