METEOROLOGICAL.
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Fair weather lias prevailed and moderate to strong westerly winds predominated; barometa- continued high in the south, but has fallen to-day in tho north, especially about tho East Cape, where conditions this evoning are ominous. Present indications' are for tho development of a storm area off the East Coast of tho North Island. High easterly winds, heavy seas, and rain are probable in Hawko's Bay. Unsettled weather will probably extend over the North Island. Haziness and cloudy weather arc likely to increase in the south, with moderate to strong easterly aud northerly winds, the barometer falling every where, especially in the north ' D. 0.
