EXCITING RESCUES. Melbourne, February 6. There was; a scvcro storm in tho city last evening, an inch and a half of rain falling in an hour. Tho streets wero foaming torrents, and much damage was done, tho water flooding houses and warehouses in tho city and round Collingwood, Malvern, Armadale,. and Toorak. The water was feet deep in many of tho houses. Thero were some exciting rescues.
