BOY'S RETURN TO LIFE.
BIX HOURS' TRANCE MISTAKEN FOR DEATH. The strange case of a boy who had been pronounced dead, but was afterwards lound lo have been only iu a trance, was made known recently at West lJridgJ'ord, a suburb of Nottingham. On Sunday, December 18, at midnight, lie underwent an operation. It was successful, but' on the following morning he lap.-ed into a comatose state and, it was thought, died. T.'.« boy had written a letter to a friend' with a request that it should be posted in the event of his death. The letter was posted, and a nurse also sent a note announcing tho boy's death. A social gathering of Boy Scout's was postponed out of respect 'to his memory. Later in tho day a doctor who. was called in noticed a flush on the boy's cheeks. A further examination showed that he was still breathing. Restoratives wero applied, and in an hour or two he was able to rise from his bed. Ho was in a trance fcr six hours. Ho has now perfectly recovered.
