In the action for libel brought by Mr. Edmondson, formerly a sergeant-major in. tlio Middlesex Yeomanry, against Mr. Leopold C. M. S. Amery, war correspondent and editor of "The Times History of the Soutli African War," in charging him with cowardico during tho Boer War, the ■ weight of military evidence suggested that Edmondson, on the occasion complained of; could liavo regained tlie main body of the Army. Tho jury, after deliberating for two hours and a half, returned a verdict,for the defendant, with costs.
