RAILWAY AGREEMENT.

Tho provisional agreement whereby the Midland Railway absorbs the London, Tilbury, and Southend Railway, gives the ordinary stockholders of the latter perpetual six per cent, interest. A feature of tho Stock Exchange is the 'rise in the London, Tilbury, and Southend ordinary shares from £129 to £147. The general opinion is that unless the Great Eastern receives very valuable consideration, tlio absorption will bo strongly opposed in Parliaments
