KING LEOPOLD'S ESTATE.
a compromise! (By Telegraph—Press Association Copyright) (Rec. February 2, 9.15 p.m.) Brussels, February 2. Delantshoere, Minister for Justice, speaking in the Chamber of Representatives,, announce'd that a compromise regarding King Leopold's patrimony had beili .arrived at, whereby all the Crown Foundation securities would revert to' the State, the latter to assign to tho Niederfnllbach or Coburg Foundation d£55,000 sterling. Ho added that the Government had now only Princess Louise to deal with. The Minister emphasised King Albert's generosity in relinquishing in favour of Belgium his rights in the Niederfullbach Foundation.
The following statement appeared in the London "Times" on December Tho hope that the dispute in regard to the estate of Leopold II would be settled amicably and without public scandal is hofto.be fulfilled. . Princess Louise has just commenced proceedings against the Belgian Government for the restitution of the property, securities, and effects comprised in the Niederfullbach Foundation. At tho same time her Royal Highness has commenced an action against Baron Snoy, Aide-de-Camp to the late King, claiming to make him responsible for rho property which he is alleged by King Leopold's order to havo made over to' Caroline Delacroix, Baroness Vaughan. The case must therefore come before the Courts.
