WELLINGTON SHABEMAEKET. A good many transactions took place in Waihi shares yesterday, and this once popular mining venture was again on the down grade. The shares declined from £4 lis. to £1 9s. 6d. There was also excellent trading in Waihi Grand Junction, sales being made up to 325. Some improvement has apparently taken place in the development. Probably a reef has been struck, which may help the shares alone;. The sales recorded yesterday were as under:— Old Hauraki, Is. 9d. (third call). Talisman. 6Cs. 6d. (third call).
