Mr. Underwood, a Labour member, in discussing the University Bill, condemned the spending of money in teaching the classics and music. They did not want Latin, and there was nothing in- Plato. ■ University men were always in the rear, and.it-was easier for a porcupine to go- backw;ards through a canvas hose than for a university man to go into politics.
