Haybittlo succeeded in' getting a. bid of £3 9s. Id. ■before "tho jug" was knocked down, and; still it remained the property of the Missions.to Seamen. It was auctioned again' in 1905, 1906, 1909, 1910, and again last night, and it has never been knocked down for less, than £1. It now reposes - on a red plush bracket, and •tho bracket contains a silver plate, bearing tho following inscription:— "The Jus." . First auctioned by Mr. P. Haybittle. 1904 ..... £3 9 1 -. 1905 ... '.'i...'.. £1 4 6 1906 ".- ;... £1. 7 10 1909 £1 11 0 1910 £3 7 6 There, is- still' to be added: "1911: $ms." ■
