Jack, junr.) reported that forty names had: been handed in as in embers, and tiiat llr. C. J. Adams had donated .a; trophy for competition. It was resolved to hold an opening run'oil Monday next, starting-'from (L'almersdoh at 10 a.m. Officers will be elected-at the next meeting. The Mayor of Palmerston,' -Mr. J. Nash, returned yesterday from a ten days' visit to Auckland.
