Reuter's Tokio correspondent states that tho newspapers deprecate tho antiJapanese attitudo shown by the reintroduction in tho Californian. Legislature of tho Anti-Alien Land Bill. Government officials and prominent personages contend'that for two years, Japan, admittedly in aii effective manner, fulfilled her self-imposed restriction of emigration. A Bill aimed at the Japanese, prohibiting aliens from holding land in California, passed the third Teading'in the Californian House of Representatives in January of last year, but was subsequently negatived by the Upper House. It was one of. a series of anti-Japanese measures.
