AUSTRALIA'S IRON INDUSTRY.
FIRST STEEL RAIL MADE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Rec. January 13, 9.20 p.m.) Sydney, January 13. The first steel' rail mado in tho country has been turned out by tho Hoskins Company at Lithgow. The company has secured a Government contract for the supply of rails, and has erected an up-to-date rolling mill for the purpose.
