A fight'followed. De-ceased-produced a toy revolver, and ho (Fynbh) snatched it 'away and hit the deceased on the head; Deceased fell, ■ arid , witness ran away. Deceased Was wider the influence of drink. The girls corroborated Fynch's story, hut other witnesses declared that deceased was perfectly sober on the night of j the tragedy, ■ also that he was of a quiet temperament, and had never Bmoked. A medical witness was of opinion that 'death was tho result, of . a kick on tho head while deceased was prostratdj ; • The inquest was adioufnedj MOODIE POISONING CASES. , Melbourne, January 13. The body of Stephen Hoodie, father of.Olive Moodie, the girl who is awaiting triil on ,a charge of having murdered her-mother and sisters,' is to bo exhumed. Moodie died rather suddenly four years', ago.
