Berlin, January 13. ; 'Of thirty-five. persons tried for,taking part ,in the riots in the Moabit ■quarter of .the city in September, one was sentenced to three and a' half ; years'..' imprisonment for striking a •policeman, "another to eighteen months', and the rest to from one to nine months', imprisonment.
•Tho Court reported that the police had far exceeded their powers, but had had a difficult duty to perform. -The Court yras convinced-that they, had not 'ftcted; with sheer brutality.
