Tho various events on tho programme were keenly contested, and a number of prizes wore appropriated by Masterton competitors. A handsome rose bowl, presented by the Morrison family for the hunters', competition, was won by Rupert Morrison. ■ - Mr. Sydney Harris, a popular young Mastcrtoiiian, twenty-six age, died to-day after an operation for appendicitis.
