January 10, 0.25 a.m.) Melbourne, January 9, Sir James Mills, managing director of tho I'nion Steam-Ship Company, has interviewed tho Postmaster-General (Mr. Thomas) with reference to tho Vancouver service. The points particularly discussed were Canada's insistence on Auckland as a port .of call, and the proposal to recall tho tenders. A further interview will follow, and in the meantime the Canadian Government may be communicated' with.
