The "Timber Trade Journal'' publishes a letter from the Otto Romcke Company,, stating that there is a great scarcity of joiners in Victoria. Competent men, states tho letter, commnnd JG}d. per hour, and linndreds of first-class tradesmen are able to get constant employment. Tho "Journal" states that other trades are also short-handed, ami condemns tho Viciorian Government for failing to make its requirement's known. This is particularly surprising in view of Canada's pushfulness.
