Mr. and Mrs. Buckeridge are the guests of Mrs. H. Edwards, "Fern Hill/' Nelson.. . Dr.. and Mrs. Fitchett have returned from.their holiday. .-•••> Miss Battiam is' visiting Mrs. Stone, Blenheim. The engagement is announced of Miss E. Hall, 8.A., oldest daughter of Mr. T. Hall, District Land Registrar at Auckland, to Mr, Eric Indev, of the staff of tho Magistrate's - Court, Wellington. ,
The engagement of Miss L. Monk, daughter of Mr. A. Monk, of' Waikinac,' to .Mr.'. W. E. Liddle, of Messrs. Liddle Brothers, Wellington, is announced. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald. Fitzgerald have returned from a visit to Pictpn. Miss Sutton (Napier) is visiting her sister, Mrs. Even. ' The engagement is announced of Miss H. Coltman, third daughter nf the late Mr. William Coltman (Wellington) to the Bev. W..G. Maslin (Westport). Mrs. and Miss Barry left Feilding on Saturday, driving overland to ,Masterton. They will spend the holidays-with Mrs. Barry's daughter, Mrs. 0. Riddell. At Petone on Saturday afternoon Mrs., Huston, of Britannia Street, gave a delightful "china tea' to Miss Enid Bennett, who is to be married on Wednesday next. There were about forty guests present, and a most enjoyable afternoon ?jras spent in croquet, tennis,-.^ndv.njusic. '•Last Wednesday, at St. James's Chureli, Miss May Duck, (laughter of the late Mr. Thomas 'Vincent Duck, was married to Mr. P. ■H. Richardson, late of Berkley Grange, Yorkshire. The bride was given a.ivay by her brother, Air. Charles Duck, andwas.attired in white, creps do chene, with panels of lace over' satin,f veil, and orange blossoriis, and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies. Miss Ruby Duck was her bridesmaid, and wore palo pink cloth, and hat to match, and carried , a bouquet of pink 'roses and maidenhair fern. After the cereniony a ?eception> was held at the residence of the bride's sister, on Wellington Terrace. The bride's travelling dress was of navy blue cloth, with a hat to match. The. honeymoon is being. spent in the South Island. x
