CHAMPIONSHIPS ALLOTTED. . ' ■ Timaru, January 3." At the annual meeting of the New Zealand 'Athletic Union it was decided to offer tho.next championship to Auckland. Mr. J. Kennedy (Geraldine") -was appointed 'president, arid Mr. H. H. ' l'raser (Timaru) secretary. An effort is- to bo made to got Auokland to affiliate with the union. The balance-sheet showed a credit Of. .970. The title of the union is to be altered to Athletic and Cycling Union.
