BOWLS TOURNAMENT.

YESTERDAY'S PLAY, SEMI-FINALS THIS AFTERNOON. The second day of the Wellington Central Bowling Tourno.y was favoured with much bettor weather than that which players had to contend against on Monday. There was one heavy thunder shower during the day, but it did not last long, and the ensuing sunshine soon dissipated its effects upon the greens. Play was much more interesting than on the previous day, as the success of the bowlers depended upon \lheir skill instead of on the vagaries of the wind. Tho eight rounds were completed nicely up to time, and the remaining games will be played on the Wellington green this afternoon and to-morrow. Coles will play Norwood at 1.30 p.m., and the semi-finals will be started at 1 o'clock, Webb playing Vosseler, while "Williams plays Norwood or Coles. The winners will ploy off in tho final (which will be a game of 21 heads) at i o'clock to-morrow. The championship prize is an oak shield, presented by Messrs. Flyger and Co., and four trophies valued at ±2 each. The rink winning second place will receive four £1 trophies. Tho Gisbome trophy will be awarded to the club represented by the team which scores the highest aggregate points. 11l tho results of yesterday's play, as given below, the name of tho skip appears last in each rink in the first round of the day. In other rounds, the names of skips only are given.
