Griffiths (receiving 20) gained a; •vcrv creditable win from Brown (owing 10) "in the final of the-Men's Handicap Singles, 80—74. In the .final for tha Marlborough' Combined' Championship, Miss Travel's and Fisher prevailed against Jliss Nunneley. and Brown, in- the .first game by 6—l. ' In the second jtlie tables were turned, ; Miss .'"Nunneley and Brown gaining the ascendancy, G —-i, .and they did even better in 'the concluding game, win-, niug with the score-vat 6 —l. . All "four plavers evoked - warm applause,.;inany of the"strokes being-brilliant.- In .the final of. the Ladies' Handicap. Singles,. Miss Nunneley (owing 15) won easily from Misa Thomson (receiving 18). With the score 39—85, Miss Thomson cried content,'.and Miss Nunnelev was.acclaimed the winner; The president (Mr. C. J. \Y.
